Our Vision

To see churches in Mityana, Uganda, thriving in faith, equipped to serve their communities, feed their hungry, and always reflect the love of Jesus. Creating a lasting legacy of hope and leaving footprints of Jesus' love for generations to come.

Our Story

For the past 10 years, the Boyers have faithfully led Vacation Bible School at their home church. Through that season of service, they believed God had prepared and equipped them for a greater calling, to take VBS beyond their walls and into the villages of Uganda. What began as a local ministry has grown into a global mission to share the love of Jesus with children who are hungry for the truth, joy, and belonging.

In January of 2024, Aimee had an opportunity to travel to Uganda. It was a life-changing trip, and upon returning, the stories, photos, and talks about the trip inspired her husband and children to visit Uganda as well. They had a trip planned out west in the summer of 2024 and changed plans to travel to Uganda as a family. The people, the stories, the love, the thankfulness, the faith, and the experience as a whole were an inspiration to each of them. Weeks after the family returned, they felt like God was leading them in the direction of taking a ministry that they had a passion for here in the U.S. to the villages of Mityana, Uganda. Everyone has heard the phrase, "here I am, send me Lord", but it wasn't until the Boyers watched him make a way that they still look back and are amazed at how he works in their lives, down to the smallest of details.

In the summer of 2025, they took their first official VBS to Grace Fellowship Church in a small village outside of Mityana, Uganda. The ministry focuses not only on bringing Vacation Bible School to children in Uganda, but also on providing men's and women's ministries to strengthen families and communities. The Boyers all feel the same about their heart and mission, which is to leave footprints of Jesus' love wherever they go and with whomever they meet along the way.

We are so thankful to have such a committed team serving diligently for Footprints of Love! Both state side and in country.

I have been a nurse for 23 years and have worked in many different areas of nursing including OB/Gyn, Pediatrics, Family and Geriatrics. I have always enjoyed taking care of people. I currently work in my husbands Chiropractic office managing all the office things and billing insurance companies. I am involved in women's ministry at my home church and I love camping, crafts and spending quality time with my family. I first visited Uganda in 2024 when I took a step of faith and followed God's leading. What began as an act of faith quickly became a life-changing experience.

I immediately fell in love with the people and the culture, and it was during this visit that I felt God calling me to do more.

With over 10 years of experience in our family leading Vacation Bible School at our home church, I felt like God was preparing our family the whole time. I felt led to take the love, lessons and outreach to the people of Uganda.

Through this whole journey, God has opened my eyes to see how simple and powerful it is to love His people. My heart remains committed to serving, equipping and sharing His love as he leads.

I am a Chiropractor and practice in my office in Northumberland Pa for the past 20 years. I love taking care of people and helping them feel better. I serve on the Deacon board at our home church and some of my favorite things to do include camping, hunting and golfing, as well as spending quality time with my family.

God has been preparing our family over the years for this time. It all started as a step outside our comfort zone in faith to lead VBS at our church over 10 years ago.

My passion to serve the people of Uganda comes from the conviction that faith must be lived out through action and not comfort. I believe every person deserves hope, opportunity, and to be loved. Over time, my heart has been drawn to Uganda due to its resilient communities, faith, and the incredible potential of the people there. I'm inspired by their strength and joy even in the face of their many challenges. Serving in Uganda for us is not simply meeting physical needs, which we enjoy doing, it's about building relationships, motivating women, caring for orphans, and sharing the Love of Jesus to all, leaving a lasting impact.

My prayer is that lives will be encouraged, hope will be strengthened, Love will abound, and Christ will be glorified in every moment.

For as long as I can remember, I have felt called to work with children. Even before I fully understood it myself, the Lord placed a passion for Early Childhood Education on my heart during my senior year of high school. Today, I am faithfully pursuing that calling at Bloomsburg University, majoring in Early Childhood Education and minoring in ESL. I enjoy writing poetry, painting, playing tennis/pickleball, and spending time with friends and family. I am also actively involved in my church, serving on the praise team and as a leader for our 412 youth group. For the past six years, being a group leader at Vacation Bible School has been the highlight of my year. The opportunity to take VBS across the world has changed my life. It has shown me the significance of missions abroad while also teaching me to be intentional about serving right where I am in the United States. I have seen the Lord's faithfulness throughout our trips to Uganda, and I pray that he will continue to use me in the lives of children all over the world.

McKenzie Boyer

Community Outreach & Social Media Coordinator

I am a sophomore at Shikellamy High School, and I am currently in the teaching pathway with a goal of teaching mid-level mathematics. I enjoy horseback riding, dance, serving on the praise team at church, and spending time with friends and family.

My mom went to Uganda in 2024 and came back with some amazing stories and pictures. That is the moment I felt a tug on my heart to go. I didn't know why then, but as soon as I stepped foot in Africa, surrounded by hundreds of loving and hurting children, I knew. It is a true blessing to be able to go, love, serve and make an impact on these amazing children and families. This is the reason I go back again and again. Uganda has not only made impacts on these children, but this opportunity has also changed my life. In the process of realizing the calling God has ad upon my family, it has made a strong impact on my everyday attitude and my relationship with Jesus. I want to continue serving and growing for Jesus.

I am a mother of two beautiful girls named Joy Blessing, who is 15 years old, and Jaycee Grace, who is 5 years old, and a lovely son, Arthur Suubi, who is 19 years old. I call him my spiritual son who I adopted when he was 10 years old, which is an amazing story.

I'm passionate about fashion design, and I have a diploma from Kymbango University. I make many clothes, aprons, hotpads, pouches, purses, and many more things. After losing my business in 2020 during COVID, I have been working hard to rebuild it someday by the grace of God. I am involved in church ministries, children's and youth ministry as a worship leader.

Ugandan Ministry Director

I live in Northumberland, Pa with my husband and 10 year old son. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My favorite thing to do is hunting for secondhand treasures.

I have a heart for serving others. I would love to travel to Uganda with the team, but I am not able to for medical reason. Instead, I am dedicated to helping the ministry with stateside operations.

I am a homeschool mom of two teenage boys and am grateful for the opportunity to serve wherever God leads. I love making being creative, making soup, knitting, and serving on the board of Unhindered Steps. Over the last year, Africa and its people have become very special to my family's hearts, and I am thankful for the opportunity to travel to Uganda with my son Ean to learn, love, and serve in any way we can!
